About Me

My animal nutrition journey began when I rescued a 9 week old puppy that I named Mia. My puppy had low energy and many health issues. She was diagnosed with food intolerances, small intestinal malabsorption and a liver disease (took many years to discover she has a copper storage disease). Numerous trips to the vet didn't provide much relief. I was told feeding a prescription hypoallergenic diet is all I could do to manage her conditions. She deserved a healthy and happy life and I was determined to find a better solution. I hired a nutritionist to formulate a diet for her and started cooking her meals at home. She was changing right in front of my eyes: shinier coat, higher energy, better poops. As she grew and her health conditions and food tolerances changed, I learned how to formulate her diet myself. Food designed specifically for her needs, holistic treatments such as herbs and homeopathy, and addition of specific supplements transformed my dog. I've learnt so much and after seeing drastic changes in a dog with so many health issues I felt compelled to help other animals to live longer, healthier lives.

I became a Certified Clinical Pet Nutritionist through the Academy of Natural Health Sciences. My interests include TCM, Eastern and Western Herbology, Homeopathy and supplementation. I'm continuing to study those areas and intend to get certified in those fields in the near future.

I'm available for telephone consults to support pet owners in need of general guidance. I offer diet formulations for healthy animals or those with various health issues, at any life stage. Whether you want to optimize the current commercial diet, start preparing home cooked meals or feed raw, I can ensure that your pet gets all the nutrients needed in the amounts recommended by NRC.
